Playground of Innocence Lost

Maybe not a triumphant return, but its somewhere to start.

Created for a first year drawing class over a year ago, we had take an environment and create both a positive and negative message / atmosphere. The first one (which I don't think I even saved, I was so unhappy with it) was a local park with kids playing, bright colours kinda of thing. The second piece is what an urban playground turns into when the sun goes down (not always the case but based on my personal experience and surroundings). I was mainly playing with converting a place of childlike purity to a playground of innocence lost. My first attempt at social commentary I guess, still haven't quite got the hang of it.

PS: Hope this doesn't sound too self righteous or pretentious. I haven't changed that much just in a funk still I think.
